WCC BF organises the exposition Omnia Vanitas. This is the call for applications.

OMNIA VANITAS
Exhibition - call for application

VANITAS, THE CONCEPT:
The «real death», the funerals are more and more delegated to third parties: nurses, doctors, funeral undertakers…
This process leads to a dipossession of the close friend’s death. However the death – or more exactly its image – is more and more present in our daily life : news reports on TV or in newspapers, in stories, games, fashion, music, tattoos etc…
VANITAS, invites you to translate your perception of death with your own means of expression; your own death, the loss of a loved or a unknown person. Peaceful or violent death, expected or unfair, hoping for desperating. If the death is a highly serious matter, evoking it may be of a total different note. In brief, humour, derision, irony are far from being forbidden. Neither is discretion.

This call is open to the artists from the European Union countries. Each discipline within the applied arts is allowed, as well as design, photography, styling, tattoo, fashion accessories…
